3 Things To Do With Your Rejected Cargo Load in South East USA

Updated: Oct 28, 2022

Your semi load was rejected, and you start to worry a little. Load rejection can happen to any driver any time for a lot of reasons. A lot of the time these loads are refrigeratored loads that may been close to date or a seal issue. Rejection does not mean the load goes down in value! There are ways to dispose of it.

1. First things first, contact your dispatch, they might have a good solution for you.

2. Take it to your local food agency center/warehouse. Most small local pantries can't handle large loads, but there are organizations that have been created specifically to handle these loads and distribute them in smaller loads to multiple local pantries and ministries. Some require appointments but not all.

3. If either of those solutions fail, the landfill is the last solution if there is no way to salvage your load.

Is your load ready to donate?

Florida and Southeastern US food banks are standing by right now to take your load anytime. Even if you don't have a load right now, feel free to connect with us on social media or save our number when you do have a load ready to bring in.

That's where we come in. Some facilities require appointments to drop off, but we do not. You can call anytime, any day, and we'll be ready to take your truckload in. We may be able to even pick up depending on the location and size of the load.
